MONDAY 2nd July 2007

Arrive Durham and book in as required to various accommodation venues.

Convention registration desk situated in the foyer at St Chads College.2.00pm to 9.30pm Adam Baldwin in attendance

Evening meal own arrangements.

Cash bar open at St Chads College from 8.00pm to 12midnight.

TUESDAY 3rd July 2007

8.00am             Full breakfast at St. Chads and Conference Hotels

9.15am             Rehearsal for Full Conference at St Oswald`s Church.

10.00am           Opening Convention Eucharist, St Oswalds Church.
                                    Preacher: The Rev. Canon Rosalind Brown.

                                First performance of Richard Shephard's Rite II Eucharist setting

                                Anthem by winner of the Women's Sacred Music Competition.

11.15am           Break for tea/coffee in the Church Hall

11.45am           Presentation by Church Music Society: Simon Lindley, Richard Lyne.

12.45pm           Buffet Lunch provided at St Chads College. Cash bar arranged.

2.00pm             Meet coaches at main departure point for afternoon excursions.

6.30pm             The Very Rev Michael Sadgrove Dean of Durham will give a welcome to the Association.
   introduction and a talk on Anglican music.

                           In the Cathedral & Cloisters, with a drink & nibbles. Finish approx 7.30-45pm 

8.15pm             St Chads College          Seated 2 course meal arranged for all participants.
                        
  Wine is included with the meal this evening.

                           Cash bar arranged.

WEDNESDAY 4th July 2007  (American Independence Day)

7.30am             Holy Eucharist in Durham Cathedral (Optional)

8.00am             Full breakfast at St Chads and Conference hotels.

9.30am             Morning Prayer, St. Oswald's Church (Rosalind Brown, homilist)

10.00am           Rediscovering the Sound of Tudor Music: The Early English Organ Project, John Harper,
                          St Oswals's Church.

11.00am           Break for tea/coffee in the church hall

11.30am           Business Meetings, Professional Concerns, St Oswald`s Church

12.30pm           Own arrangements for lunch in the city

2.00pm             Meet coaches at main departure point for afternoon excursions.

                                 Arrive Brancepeth Church for pre visit discussions and organ demo.

ORGAN RECITAL--DELEGATES MUST WEAR THEIR REGISTRATION BADGES FOR ENTRY. PLEASE USE THE CATHEDRAL CLOISTERS ENTRANCE.

 7.30pm           James Lancelot, cathedral organist will complete a recital in the cathedral to incorporate
                         American music. Finish approx 8.45pm

THURSDAY 5th July 2007

7.45/8.00am   Full breakfast at St Chads and Conference hotels

8.50am            Board coaches at main pick up point, Excursion to York.

10.45am          Arrive in the city of York

11.15am          Guided tour of the Minster.

12.30pm          Free time for lunch. (Own arrangements)

3.00pm            Conversation with Richard Shephard, Philip Moore (and Francis Jackson) Chapter House.

4.00pm            Brief Talk by The very Rev Keith Jones, Dean of York.

4.30pm            Break for tea/coffee.

                         Proceed to the Nave for Evensong service

5.15pm            Evensong in York Cathedral till approx 6.00pm

                         Short walk to the evening meal venue, close by

6.45pm seated         Three course dinner arranged at the York Park Inn.
                                   Wine is not included with the meal this evening

                                   Cash bar arranged

9.15pm                    Depart from York

10.45pm                  Arrive Durham

FRIDAY 6th July 2007

8.00am             Full breakfast at St Chads and Conference hotels.

9.30am             Business/Professional Concerns, St Oswald`s Church (Election of Officers)

10.45am           Break for tea/coffee in the church hall.

11.15am           Business/Professional Concerns, St Oswald`s Church.

11.45am           Noonday Prayers (Rosalind Brown speaks)

12.45pm           Buffet lunch in St Chads College, Regional meetings .Cash bar arranged.

2.30pm             Various guided tours in the Cathedral pre-selected.

5.15pm             Evensong in Durham Cathedral. (Optional)

6.00pm             Dinner own arrangements in the city

9.00pm             Celtic Compline, St Oswalds Church, (Led by the Society of St Margaret`s)

                          Cash Bar open at St Chads College from 9.30pm to 12midnight.

SATURDAY 7th July 2007

8.00am             Full breakfast at St Chads and Conference hotels.

9.30am             Preparation for Conference Eucharist in the Cathedral

10.30am           Conference Eucharist in Durham Cathedral. (Rosalind Brown, preacher)

12noon              Lunch and afternoon, own arrangements.

                    This is the weekend of the Durham City Festival.
                           Do try to spend some time exploring the market stalls in the old cobbled  Market Place or                            wandering round the craft and art stalls set up on Palace Green. Musicians, singers,                            entertainments & displays.

5.15pm              Evensong in Durham Cathedral. (Optional)

7.30pm              Three course Conference Dinner arranged at St Chads College.
                           Wine is included with the meal this evening

   Cash bar arranged

THOSE PARTICIPANTS NEEDING TO LEAVE FROM GLASGOW PLEASE LOAD THEIR LUGGAGE AS DIRECTED BEFORE DEPARTURE ON SUNDAY MORNING.

THE GLASGOW  DELEGATES AT ST CHADS COLLEGE WILL NEED TO LOAD THEIR LUGGAGE AT 7.30am ON TO A SPECIAL LUGGAGE VEHICLE AVAILABLE

SUNDAY 8th July 2007

7.30am             Full breakfast at St Chads and conference hotels
                          Glasgow people at all venues please bring luggage down ready to load.
                          Taxi-Van at St Chads.            ----------              Coach D1 at hotels
                          The Taxi/Van will take luggage to Three Tuns Hotel for loading on to D1 Coach.

7.45am             D1 Coach will start to load luggage at Marriott, Three Tuns & from St Chads

8.25am             Participants start to board coaches for Hexham Abbey at normal pick up point.

                          Glasgow people please board COACH D1 @ 8.35am at Three Tuns Hotel.

8.45am             Depart for journey to Hexham Abbey (allow between 45/50 minutes)

9.30/35am       Arrive Hexham Abbey Coach Park. Short walk 3-4 minutes to the Abbey

10.00am          Attend morning Choral Eucharist in the Abbey
                          Conclude the service at approx 11.15am

                          Time to wander in the Abbey listen to the Phelps organ and speak to Michael Haynes the Organist

                           Ladies of the Abbey will provide sandwiches and tea/coffee for lunch.

12.45pm           Return to coach park to load coaches for Lindisfarne

GLASGOW PEOPLE on COACH D1.

1.00pm             Depart from Hexham. (Journey north to Holy Island)

3.00pm             Arrive Lindisfarne (Holy Island)

3.45-4.30pm    Liturgy for leave taking in the Church of of St Mary the Virgin.
                          (Led by Society of St Margaret, Rosalind Brown, preacher)

4.50pm             Coaches boarded ready to Depart from Holy Island

COACH D1—Glasgow people first.

5.45pm             Arrive White Swan Hotel at Alnwick.

                          Self serve Buffet Dinner, seated. Cash bar available.

WILL GLASGOW PEOPLE PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE FOOD TABLES FIRST                        READY TO LEAVE AT 6.55pm

7.00pm             D1 Coach will depart to Glasgow accommodation

7.45pm             Other delegates ready to leave the hotel to load the Coaches for the return journey to
                          Durham.

8.00pm             Depart from Alnwick for a return to Durham.

9.15pm             Coaches arrive back in Durham

                          Cash bar arranged in St Chads College from 9.15pm to 10.30pm.

WILL ALL DELEGATES DEPARTING FROM MANCHESTER AIRPORT ON MONDAY MORNING TOGETHER WITH THOSE PARTICIPANTS CONTINUING ON WITH THE HERBERT HOWELLS TRIP, PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY TIME OF DEPARTURE.

THE COACHES CANNOT WAIT. IF YOU MISS THE COACHES YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE YOUR OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS.

                THE COACH WILL LEAVE SPOT ON 5.15am
